My first impressions of the Nikon COOLPIX P300
My requirements:
I was looking for a Time-In-camera as a small alternative to our Canon EOS SLR. It should easily fit into a pocket and also provide useful photos and video. Especially important to me was to find a camera that makes even in low light conditions and night usable photos!
In the short-listed the Panasonic Lumix TZ-10 were the Canon S95 and the Nikon COOLPIX P300
I first tested the Panasonic Lumix TZ-10. This camera, all conditions was no joy. The moderate performance in low light conditions have prompted me to take a different camera. At the Canon S95 I have the relatively high price and some very negative reviews in regard quenched to the automatic mode! It was the Nikon COOLPIX P300 left on my list …
My experience in the near future, for the most was the previous reviewers have mentioned and described in detail in part:
1. It’s really true! This camera does amazing in low light conditions and the most hands-free and WITHOUT FLASH! Fabulous comes to life! Everything looks in the pictures from the way you see it yourself! Image noise is in my view, perfectly fine and is very limited.
2. Nikon COOLPIX P300 Nice large display, good feel – all the buttons and wheel are well placed and easily. Manual settings will very quickly with the help of two wheels of the hand. My initial fears that problem with the position of the flash to have, have not come true, because you rarely need the Bitz first and second hand moves out with a side button and not be so surprised when it suddenly moves out!
3. Very good video function in Full-HD with Zoom!
4. Generally good image quality and natural colors! I feel very little need reworking. Auto focus and image stabilizer function precisely!
This camera can be up to the light intensity in terms of resolution with my SLR can not compete, of course, but for all the above requirements, the best alternative I could find!
I was convinced that little black part perfectly!
